Platja Gran is the town’s main hub, both geographically and socially. Located right in front of the urban center, it serves as a meeting point for locals and visitors. Unlike many sandy beaches, this one is made of pebbles, which contributes to the water’s clarity.
One of its most distinctive features is the traditional fishing boats anchored in the bay, which form part of the town’s cultural landscape. This area allows visitors to observe the coexistence of tourism and local life, as well as the historical importance of the sea in the economy of Cadaqués.
